Few teams in NFL history have dominated their way to a Super Bowl quite like the Philadelphia Eagles did last season. After a franchise-record 14 regular-season wins, the Eagles rolled through the postseason en route to their 40-22 win in Super Bowl LIX.
Since their victory, teams around the league have tried to emulate what the Eagles were able to do during the 2024-25 season. It's hard to match Philly, though, when the roster is so talented.
That's why NFL.com has called the Eagles the best and most complete team in the league heading into the 2025 season.
"They incurred free-agent losses this offseason befitting of a Super Bowl champion and a franchise that has won 45 games (including playoffs) over the past three years," NFL.com said. "After all, everyone wants to be like the Eagles.
"Yet even with some departures, primarily on the defensive side, the team remains set up to compete for a title again thanks to the brilliant craftsmanship of GM Howie Roseman."
Everyone wants to be the Eagles. That kind of statement would have been seen as ludicrous 15 years ago. Philadelphia has been highly consistent over the team's history, but struggled to win championships over their near 100-year history.
Since their title win in 2018, though, things have changed. Philadelphia is no longer considered a team who can't win the big one.
They are now considered one of the most feared teams in the sport. … and the envy of all of their NFL enemies.
