Bayer Leverkusen and German national team star Florian Wirtz is reportedly on the verge of a move to Liverpool FC, but there is no doubt where Wirtz’s Germany teammate Joshua Kimmich would have liked to see him go — Bayern Munich.
Even with that, Kimmich just wants Wirz to do what is best for him.
“It’s important that he makes the right decision for himself. He’ll have his reasons for making this decision. I hope it’s the right path for him. I’ll cross the fingers for him no matter where he goes,” Kimmich said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “As an FC Bayern player, I would have of course wanted him to come to us. I know him from the national team and played with him - I’m focused on having him as a teammate in the national team.”
As of now, Bayer Leverkusen and Liverpool FC are still trying to work out a deal, but it has not been a completely smooth process.
