In a move that surprises no one since Mohamed Salah swept the league-wide awards, the Egyptian was today named Standard Charter Men’s Player of the Season for [Liverpool](https://liverpooloffside.sbnation.com/).
Salah is now a five-time Liverpool Player of the Season, an honor which emphasizes his impact since joining the club. His five club-based awards can join his record-equalling four Golden Boot awards, two Playmaker awards, three FWA Footballer of the Year awards, and two Premier League Player of the Year awards. Having just signed a contract extension, he will hope to add to this tally in coming seasons.
In all competitions this season, Salah scored 34 goals and provided 23 assists, and in the Premier League he was named Standard Chartered Men’s Player of the Month four times and Player of the Match 14 times.
