Kerkez Picks Liverpool Over Manchester City in Transfer Twist
Milos Kerkez on Liverpool talk:
“Of course, something always leaks into the news. I don't know how. At the same time, I think it's normal that if you play well and the team does well, then you get into the news and end up on the front page, and everyone talks about you.” 👀 pic.twitter.com/DN24jHDIm9

Liverpool have taken a major step toward securing Milos Kerkez this June transfer window. Bournemouth’s highly-rated left-back has reportedly snubbed interest from Manchester City.
According to multiple sources, the Hungarian defender prefers a move to Anfield over the Etihad. The Reds are said to be already in advanced talks to wrap up the deal. This update comes after a standout Premier League campaign where Reds clinched the title in Arne Slot’s first season. Meanwhile, City just scraped UCL qualification on the final matchday.
Slot has reportedly made Kerkez his top priority for the left-back position. The head coach is looking to add more depth and dynamism on that flank for the next season.
Reds Set to Bargain, Bournemouth Hold Firm
Although the cherries have added a £45million price tag on their star defender. But, the PL champions are unlikely to meet that fee so easily. Reports suggest the they will start talks with a lower bid, hoping to make a fair deal without paying a big amount.
Bournemouth, however, are in no rush to sell. They are likely to stand firm after previously selling Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid for £50m. Liverpool’s push to seal the deal quickly may be because of competition. They want to beat the late bids from European giants like Bayern Munich.
Meanwhile, City are now turning their eye to **Wolves**’ Rayan Ait-Nouri. They are shifting focus after Kerkez’s firm preference for the Reds became clear.
If the Slot’s side can agree on terms soon, they’ll be adding a young, talented defender to their squad. He can be one of the best left-backs in the Premier League with the PL title holders.
