Liverpool are advancing on a deal to sign Bournemouth full-back Milos Kerkez this summer, journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed.
The Premier League winners are reportedly making progress in their pursuit of the ‘exceptional’ Hungary international, having identified him as their top target to play on the left-hand side of Arne Slot’s backline next season.
Romano claims Kerkez is excited about joining Liverpool this summer and is ‘really tempted’ to be part of their ‘fantastic’ squad that just became the English champions.
The Reds have a good relationship with Kerkez’s agent, who also represents last summer’s signing Federico Chiesa, and are expected to complete the deal in the coming weeks.

Romano, speaking on his YouTube channel, revealed that Kerkez ‘can’t wait’ to join Liverpool and feels ‘fantastic’ about a summer move to Anfield:
“I'm told that Milos Kerkez can't wait to join Liverpool. He is really tempted by this opportunity, tempted to be part of this fantastic squad, believing that Liverpool were already fantastic in the season just completed, and it's going to be even better in the next one with more additions.
“So there is a fantastic feeling at the moment between Liverpool and Kerkez. The agent is the same agent who represents Federico Chiesa, so the relationship is very good. And now Liverpool are advancing on this deal.”
Kerkez has blossomed into one of the Premier League’s best left-backs during his two seasons at Bournemouth, where he played a key role in Andoni Iraola’s backline, making 74 appearances and assisting eight goals.
The Hungary international is likely to arrive at Anfield as a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson, who turned 31 in March and has just over a year left on his contract.
Liverpool are one of the busiest clubs in the market at the moment, as they are also in talks to sign Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz in a club-record deal.
The Reds officially welcomed Wirtz’s former teammate Jeremie Frimpong last weekend and are now pushing ahead in their pursuit of the Germany international.
