Hull City remain ‘cool’ over a potential return for Aston Villa winger Louie Barry amid his links to Birmingham City, as detailed in a report by HullLive.
Hull City swooped to land the attacker on loan in the last January transfer window. HCAFC won the race for his signature but he featured only four times for the East Yorkshire outfit.

Barry, 21, suffered a knee injury early on in his time with the Tigers. He has now returned to Aston Villa and is on the radar of their rivals Birmingham City, as reported by GiveMeSport.
In this latest update regarding his situation, HullLive report his chances of a move back to the MKM Stadium are up in the air. There will be a different manager in charge following their decision to part ways with Ruben Selles.
After joining Hull City this past winter, Barry told their website: “I’m really excited. I had a good start to the season and, hopefully, I can end it really well. I’ve got a lot of goals in my mind that I want to achieve here.
“I spoke to the gaffer and he said all the right things. I watched the Sheffield United game and that was a big turning point for me because everything the gaffer said was spot on and came to fruition.”
Hull City stance on Birmingham City target Louie Barry
Hull City appear to be undecided on whether to try and bring back Barry. HCAFC have an important summer window ahead of them.

The Tigers stayed up only on goal difference this past season. Their 1-1 draw on the final day away at Portsmouth proved to be enough to survive, with Luton Town going down instead along with Cardiff City and Plymouth Argyle.
Barry was acquired by Selles to add more competition and depth to his attacking ranks. However, he wasn’t able to make the impact he would have wanted to which was a shame for all parties.
What now for Louie Barry at Aston Villa?
Aston Villa have a decision to make on what to do next with Barry. His immediate focus will be on getting back to full fitness.

Birmingham City have been mentioned as a potential suitor following their promotion from League One. They stormed to the third tier title and went up along with Wrexham and Charlton Athletic.
Time till tell whether Hull City opt to attempt to lure the former Stockport County loan ace back up north. They may well face some strong competition for his signature if they did decide to.
