Report: Everton just received a big Jarrad Branthwaite boost, and it's thanks in part to Sean…

Everton are all set for a summer of change, but one man fans are desperately hoping to see stay is Jarrad Branthwaite.

Everton will be in the Premier League once again next season, after surviving pretty comfortably in the end in 2024/25.

David Moyes had a superb impact after coming in as Sean Dyche’s successor, and fans are excited to see what the future holds now.

It will be vital for the club to strengthen. Everton are said to be prioritising four positions – right-back, right wing, central midfield and striker – but most areas of the team could see new players arrive.

But equally as important for Everton will be to keep hold of key players.

And Jarrad Branthwaite is certainly a key player.

Tottenham Hotspur are reported to be keen on signing Branthwaite, and other clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United have also been keen previously.

But one claim has now been made that will make Everton fans feel a lot better amid the transfer speculation.

Branthwaite made some important contributions throughout Everton’s 2024/25 campaign.

He, James Tarkowski and Jordan Pickford were key reasons why the Toffees were able to just about keep their heads above water around Christmas time.

It is clear that he is a player with a very high ceiling, and someone who needs to be kept.

And that is very much the plan according to the Liverpool Echo, who say David Moyes wants to build around the Englishman.

And it’s stated that Branthwaite has been very pleased with the amount of opportunities he has been given by the club.

Moyes has given Branthwaite a lot of minutes since he came in. But Sean Dyche does actually deserve some credit here too, having handed him 52 appearances (4475 minutes) during his time as Everton manager.

Branthwaite is also now excited for that trend to continue at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Branthwaite exit is surely unlikely as Everton stance becomes clear

Given this information from the Echo, it is hard to see Branthwaite leaving Everton this summer.

Certainly, he is in a very good place at the moment.

He’s a regular starter for a huge football club and adored by a passionate fanbase.

While he has not yet properly broken through with the England national team, there is a feeling that Branthwaite is heading in the right direction, and on an exciting trajectory.

He’s now about to play at the world-class Hill Dickinson Stadium and has the chance to be a part of an exciting new chapter with Everton, and could even become club captain in a few years.

Abdoulaye Doucoure said he thinks Branthwaite can reach the top level, and hopefully he will do that with Everton, and hopefully he will soon put pen to paper on a new contract with the Toffees.
