CHELSEA have been advised to send Jadon Sancho back to Manchester United by former Stamford Bridge defender Frank Sinclair.
Sancho scored five goals and made four assists during his loan spell at Chelsea after being banished by former Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag, and Chelsea agreed to sign Sancho permanently for around £25m when they signed him on loan from Manchester United last summer.
However, they are able to cancel the agreement by paying their Premier League rivals £5m in compensation and reports suggest that remains a possibility, as Manchester United determine whether to give him another shot or not.
Chelsea are yet to make their final decision but are leaning towards keeping Sancho beyond this season, providing he agrees to take a pay-cut. But ex-Chelsea Sinclair doubts Sancho is ‘the answer’ for Enzo Maresca’s side and believes the money could be better spent on other additions.
Asked if Chelsea should sign Sancho on a permanent transfer, Sinclair told the Daily Express: ‘The only person who can answer that is the recruitment team.
‘Chelsea do need a right-footed player on the left-hand side so Jadon is definitely one for them to seriously consider.
‘He has the quality, he has plenty of experience, but I am not sure he has the all-around game for Chelsea to get to the next level and win the Premier League, which has to be the aim for the club.
‘So I don’t see him being the answer.’

Sancho is a solid option to come off the bench and create something, he may not do that every week, but most of that Chelsea side are the same. For £25 million, it could be a solid bit of business by Chelsea, they wont lose too much money on the man.
But if CHELSEA do not offer him that deal he wants, he needs to make sure that a permanent move away from Manchester United happens as he really struggles with the way the Red Devils play.
