Manchester United have been keen to offload Jadon Sancho for some time now, after his loan-spell with Borussia Dortmund seemingly marked the end of his Manchester United career.
The loan move came following a major and public bust up with then manager Erik ten Hag, however when he returned, United already were working on his next move.
Unfortunately a permanent deal couldn’t be agree, with his wages proving too much for any of his suitors, however Chelsea emerged wanting to take the star on loan.
As part of the deal, the clubs agreed a £25 million obligation to buy at the end of the season, should Chelsea finish above 15th in the Premier League.
The Blues finished in 4th, triggering the buy clause, however still looked at backing out of the deal, favouring a £5 million penalty instead.
Now, after months of speculation, the fate of Jadon Sancho is finally revealed, with Chelsea making their stance on keeping the winger known.

Jadon Sancho headed back to Old Trafford
The Athletic has reported that an agreement between the winger and the London-based club could not be agreed, so Sancho is headed back to Old Trafford.
As such, Sancho’s stay at Stamford Bridge will end on 30th June at the end of the contract, with the £5 million penalty to be paid to United.
It’s also understood that Sancho is going to be weighing up his options from across England and Europe before deciding on his next move.
The former England international has another year on his contract at Old Trafford, making this summer the club’s last chance to sell him before losing him for free next year.
As such it’s highly expected that United will push for a permanent transfer this summer to make back some of the £73 million they bought him for in 2021.
