Andy Robertson was one of Liverpool’s worst performers during the 2024-25 season.
Indeed, the Scotsman retained his spot as Arne Slot’s number one left-back, but Kostas Tsimikas has featured more often than anyone would have expected him to.
Both Robertson and the Greek Scouser have been linked with moves away this summer, with Tsimikas the most likely of the two to leave, as both Juventus and Atletico Madrid are interested in the defender.

So, with that in mind, it’s not a surprise to see the Anfield outfit being linked with a move for Milos Kerkez this summer.
The left-back has had a breakout season for Bournemouth this term and was one of Andoni Iraola’s star men.
Milos Kerkez and Liverpool talks expected to ‘progress’ over the coming days
Kerkez has been in fine form this season with a handful of clubs linked with an interest in the defender.
And, as per a new report from Sky Italia journalist Luca Bendoni, it seems that things are starting to progress.
“Liverpool and Bournemouth are expected to progress in talks for Milos Kerkez in the coming days,” he wrote via his personal X account.

“Parties appear confident to seal it for a fee in the range of £45m. However, an agreement hasn’t been reached yet.”
Milos Kerkez would be a stellar addition to Liverpool
With Trent Alexander-Arnold already being replaced by Jeremie Frimpong, Liverpool’s focus will now turn towards other areas of their team.
Slot seems to be closing in on a deal with Bayer Leverkusen for the transfer of Florian Wirtz over the next week or so, with the German naming Liverpool as his preferred destination.
However, even though Wirtz’s arrival will improve Liverpool’s team tenfold, that isn’t one of the main areas within the squad that needs bolstering.
As mentioned, both Robertson and Tsimikas haven’t been up to the required standards this season, but the arrival of Kerkez could solve all their problems.

The Hungary international is only 21 years old and after contributing to seven Premier League goals this term, his creative nature could be key to Liverpool’s future successes.
Kerkez is also much faster than the aforementioned duo, and to be quite frank, he has also been the much better player of the three this term.
Indeed, only time will tell what the future holds, but at the moment, things seem to be on the up for the Merseyside outfit.
