Although exits are dominating the headlines at Molineux, Wolves will have cash to splash in the summer transfer window.
Matheus Cunha finally joined Manchester United on Sunday, bidding farewell to Molineux after a brilliant two-and-a-half years.
Rayan Ait-Nouri is also Manchester City’s top target, and it seems increasingly likely the Algerian will follow his teammate out the door.
Wolves fans have become accustomed to losing their best players every summer, with a huge focus now on replacing them this summer.
Hugo Bueno could be the heir to Ait-Nouri at wing-back once he returns from his loan, while Bilal El Khannouss has been targeted by Wolves as a potential Cunha replacement.
That being said, it isn’t just at full-back and in the forward areas where investment is being targeted, as the Wanderers want a midfielder to complement Andre and Joao Gomes.

Molineux News confirmed in May that Wolves have shown an interest in Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Chelsea’s all-action midfielder who was used sporadically by Enzo Maresca.
Dewsbury-Hall is ‘one to watch’ ahead of the summer transfer window, as it appears he could be surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
Chelsea signed the 26-year-old from Leicester City for £30 million last summer, but truthfully, a transfer to West London hasn’t worked out.
The talented midfielder started just twice for the Blues in the Premier League, mainly seeing his involvement come in the Europa Conference League, where he scored four goals in 11 starts on their way to winning the competition.
A bundle of energy, tenacity and quality from central areas, Dewsbury-Hall would be a solid addition to the engine room at Wolves, and Pedro Neto’s comments on the midfielder suggest how highly-rated he is.
“He has the opportunity to play in the Conference League and is doing really well. He has been an important player for us in this competition, so we are happy for him. Even in the last game, he scored a goal as well, and he’s been doing really great,” Neto said of his teammate before beating Real Betis in the final.
What Dewsbury-Hall could bring to Wolves
Wolves’ midfield duo of Andre and Gomes is unbreakable, with the pair offering a blend of excellent ball manipulation, unlimited energy and incredible tackling.
But the addition of Dewsbury-Hall could be the perfect foil for their instrumental partnership. The Englishman is someone who can ghost in deep from midfield and finish chances.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s 2023/24 Championship campaign
44 games
12 goals
14 assists
As seen during Leicester City’s 2023/24 title-winning campaign, the academy graduate amassed 26 goal involvements in the Championship and was instrumental throughout.
Dewsbury-Hall has shown a glimpse of his goalscoring prowess in Europe, but with more minutes guaranteed at Wolves, perhaps he can become the goal-hungry midfielder that Pereira craves.
