Newcastle United are desperate to bring in a right-winger this summer, and now it looks like they're about to miss out on their primary target, with Bryan Mbeumo seemingly Manchester United-bound.
Fortunately, the Magpies have already made a deal to bring one winger in this summer, with 18-year-old Antonio Cordero heading to Tyneside when his contract with Malaga expires.
Cordero will sign a contract which will keep him at Newcastle until 2030 when he arrives at the end of the month.
We had originally thought that Newcastle would loan Cordero back to Malaga when he signs for the Toon, but given the emotional goodbye the winger has written to Malaga fans, we aren't so sure now.

Newcastle beat Barcelona and Real Madrid to the signing of Antonio Cordero
18-year-old Antonio Cordero says a reluctant goodbye to Malaga
As reported by Newcastle World, Malaga drew first blood, confirming the exit of Antonio "Antonito" Cordero, before the player penned his goodbyes on Instagram soon after.
“Here comes the day I never wanted to come! The time has come to say goodbye to all of you who have become part of my family since day one. Unforgettable memories that I will always carry in my heart!
“We have tried but due to greater forces it could not be and I am here to thank all those who made possible this dream, to play and enjoy for this great club! Also a special thank you to an amazing fan who always supported us through thick and thin! I hope one day we will meet again! I love you MALAGA ❤️!”

Hopefully, we'll see Antonio Cordero in action in pre-season
It is a bit odd with Cordero saying such a passionate goodbye when he was deemed a 'contract rebel' not so long ago. If he truly wanted to stay, the offer was there. I mean, he could at least pretend to be excited about joining Newcastle.
Footballers, man, they're doing my head in today. Thanks, Mbeumo!
Anyway, all this strangeness will soon be forgotten and hopefully we'll get a look at Cordero in pre-season, but we doubt he'll be thrown into first-team action straight away by Eddie Howe next season ... unless we fail to sign another right winger - this is Newcastle United we're talking about.
