Liverpool could continue to open their chequebook once again, after what has already been a whirlwind summer at Anfield - as reports suggest that a move for Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi is on the cards, with Arne Slot's side said to be 'at the table' for his potential signing alongside moves for Bayer Leverkusen duo Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz.
Guehi has been immense for Palace since his move in the summer of 2021, recording 132 appearances in the Premier League over four years for the Eagles, making his way into the England team in the process and registering interest from some of the biggest clubs in the country. And that could see Liverpool make their move for the 24-year-old, who is beginning to hit his prime.

The report by Football Insider states that Guehi has turned down a move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer, and he is expected to leave Selhurst Park this summer - which has pushed Liverpool to the front of the queue for his signing by 'accelerating' their interest in a deal.

The Eagles star has had another impressive season in south London, having excelled for England at EURO 2024 last summer - and winning the FA Cup to record Palace's first-ever major honour means he's written himself into the history books.
However, an exit looks likely. Spurs won't take any further part in the race after registering their interest, with Guehi having turned down a move to the Europa League champions - with the centre-back wanting to join a club that will 'consistently' challenge for major honours.
With Liverpool having won the Premier League this time around, as well as the League Cup last season, that has shown that they meet the criteria that Guehi has set out for any potential suitors - and the Reds are understood to be 'at the table' for the former Chelsea star, who will cost 'superstar' money, according to chairman Steve Parish.
Guehi has just 12 months left on his contract, and is widely thought to be on his way out of Selhurst Park in order for the Eagles to garner a fee for his services instead of losing out on a free next summer.
Last summer, the side from the capital were thought to want £80million for Guehi's services, but that could be reduced this season with the ball slowly falling out of Palace's court - and Liverpool could land him for a lesser fee to partner Virgil van Dijk, challenging Frenchman Ibrahima Konate in the process.
