Director insists no offer despite Wolves claims – Seems pleased by transfer talk

Corinthians sporting director Fabinho Soldado has insisted they are yet to receive any concrete bid from Wolverhampton Wanderers or any other club for striker Yuri Alberto.

[Bolavip cover comments from him today](https://br.bolavip.com/corinthians/saida-de-yuri-alberto-do-corinthians-nao-tem-proposta-oficial-e-intencao-e-manter-diz-fabinho-soldado), made during the recent draw for the last 16 of the Copa Betano do Brasil, in which Corinthians are set to face Palmeiras.

Alberto has been linked with a move away from the Brazilian club for months, with Wolves and West Ham named as potential suitors for him over the course of the last month.

Its Wolves who have been pushed forward, with its first claimed that a bid had been made before the player’s agent, André Cury, made it clear that such talk was premature and there was nothing going on.

Wolves interest in him is longstanding, though, and the feeling is that the recent departure of Matheus Cunha could have both opened up a space and given them the funds to make a serious move.

Soldado, though, insists that neither her nor Corinthians have received anything concrete from anyone, and their intention is to keep the current squad, including Alberto, together anyway.

_“We’re accustomed with this every window with Yuri, right?”_ he said.

_“This is good for Corinthians. He is a great player; he is going through a great moment. Not only him, but the team has, in its squad, national team players, athletes who are being sought after. This is wonderful._

_“Our intention, since the turn of the year, has been to maintain the squad. There is nothing concrete that has come to us so that we can sit down and talk. Our idea is to maintain the squad.”_
