Ruben Amorim is not wasting any time reshaping Manchester United’s squad ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Having already bolstered his attack with Matheus Cunha and closing in on Bryan Mbeumo, attention is gradually shifting to other key areas.
With the transfer window now in full swing, movement across Europe is expected to ramp up quickly as clubs prepare for a packed calendar, including the upcoming Club World Cup.

United’s goalkeeping department remains under scrutiny after a season where questions around reliability and consistency were repeatedly asked.
Amorim is expected to address this sooner rather than later, especially with growing uncertainty surrounding Andre Onana’s future at the club.
Onana endured a difficult season at Old Trafford, struggling to meet expectations after his high-profile arrival from Inter Milan.
Now, reports in Italy claim Manchester United have set their sights on AS Roma’s Mile Svilar as a potential successor.

The Serbian keeper is also attracting interest from Bayern Munich, but United may have an advantage if Roma are forced into selling due to Financial Fair Play concerns.
According to Il Messaggero and Siamo La Roma, Mile Svilar is demanding a new deal worth €4 million per season—something Roma have yet to agree to.
The 25-year-old has grown in stature since arriving at Roma on a free transfer from Benfica and is now considered one of Serie A’s top performers between the sticks.
Ironically, many United fans will remember him for his forgettable performance against the Red Devils during his Benfica days, but his resurgence in Italy has not gone unnoticed.
Roma would reportedly begin negotiations at around €40 million but hope to fetch closer to €50 million should a bidding war emerge.
As things stand, no official bids have been tabled, but Svilar’s contract impasse opens a door that United could walk through if Onana departs this summer.
With Amorim keen on reinforcing his squad spine, Svilar’s profile fits the bill: experienced, on the rise, and with a point to prove at the Theatre of Dreams.
