PS Plus Users Have Three New Games to Download for June 2025

Summary

PlayStation Plus Essential adds three new games for June 2025.

NBA 2K25, Alone in the Dark, and Bomb Rush Cyberfunk are available to download now.

More games will be added for Extra and Premium subscribers soon.

PlayStation Plus subscribers have three new games to download for the month of June, with NBA 2K25, Alone in the Dark, and Bomb Rush Cyberfunk now included as part of the service's free monthly games. The three new PlayStation Plus games can be kept by users for as long as they remain subscribed to the service, but each title must be added to the player's game library before a new batch of games is introduced next month.

Whether it's Essential, Extra, or Premium, the latest batch of games are available for those subscribed to any of the three PlayStation Plus tiers. However, unlike the catalogue of games available with PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, new monthly games can be kept forever as long as there is an active subscription to the service. The game catalogue, on the other hand, regularly rotates games in and out on a monthly basis. While new games are frequently added to the catalogue, there's no way to know how long they may stay on the service. Titles such as Grand Theft Auto 5 seem to come and go regularly, while others stay available for much longer, making it impossible to know how long players have with a game.

One of the games recently added to the PlayStation Plus Extra catalog has a platinum trophy that’s pretty much impossible to unlock.

For those subscribed to PlayStation Plus Essential or above, there are now three new games to download for June 2025. NBA 2K25, which is the latest entry in the famous basketball series and is less than one year old, joins the service along with the 2024 remake of Alone in the Dark and Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. While both NBA 2K25 and Bomb Rush Cyberfunk are available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Alone in the Dark did not receive a last-gen release when it launched last year, which means it is only available for PlayStation 5 users.

The latest batch of PlayStation Plus Essential games are available to download now in the UK and Europe. Those in the United States will need to wait until approximately 9 AM PT on June 3.

PS Plus Adds Three New Games for June 2025

NBA 2K25 (PS4, PS5)

Alone in the Dark - 2024 (PS5)

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk (PS4, PS5)

Unfortunately, those disappointed by the fact that Alone in the Dark is only available to PS Plus subcribers with a PS5 won't be happy with what the future holds. Earlier this year, Sony shared bad news for PS4 owners, as the company announced that it will no longer be focused on offering free PS4 games as a benefit for subscribing to PlayStation Plus. As the PS5 enters the latter half of its life cycle, Sony says fans shouldn't expect to see last-generation console games on the service each month. The change will come into effect from January 2026, but it doesn't mean that fans won't ever see a PS4 game on the service again, just that there will likely be far more PS5-only titles each month.

For those subscribed to PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium, even more titles are on the way as a new batch of games will soon be added to the services' game catalogue. Ubisoft's divisive Skull & Bones was recently added to PS Plus Extra, but fans can expect even games to arrive over the next week. PS Plus Extra subscribers can look forward to Destiny 2: Legacy Collection on June 4 and Grand Theft Auto 3: The Definitive Edition on June 10, while Premium users will receive Myst and Riven on June 5.
