Liverpool star Luis Diaz is on course to be the subject of a big-money offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr after he has decided that he is prepared to leave Anfield ahead of next season, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed on the latest episode of our Market Madness podcast.
Having been crowned the Premier League champions during Arne Slot's first season at the helm, the Reds have been aiming to complete speedy business and succeeded in luring Jeremie Frimpong away from Bayer Leverkusen by triggering the £29.5million release clause written into his contract.
The Netherlands international has been acquired as a replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who was given the green light to join Real Madrid at the start of the month after a £10million fee was agreed, but Liverpool are in danger of seeing Diaz become the next key man to head through the exit door.

Diaz is open to quitting Liverpool this summer, according to GMS sources, and a bid from Al-Nassr could be imminent after they have received central funding approval to enter negotiations as they aim to upgrade their attacking options by raiding the Premier League ahead of next season.
The wide forward has been described as 'world-class' by journalist Neil Docking and, having been a regular starter as his current employers ended the campaign with silverware, there is interest from the Middle East in luring him away from Anfield before the initial transfer window slams shut on June 10.
GMS sources have been informed that Liverpool are seeking in the region of £72million for Diaz, who enjoyed a productive 2024/25 campaign in the final third of the pitch, and they are prepared to sanction his departure if Al-Nassr or another suitor make a formal proposal matching their demands.

The Colombia international still has two years remaining on a contract which allows him to pocket £55,000-per-week on Merseyside, meaning that the Reds are under no pressure to cash in, but it appears that he is in line to be the subject of an offer from Saudi Arabia in the coming days.
Although Liverpool have refused to rule out selling Diaz, GMS sources have learned that his exit is not guaranteed and Al-Nassr have also been targeting Kaoru Mitoma and Antoine Semenyo - of Brighton & Hove Albion and Bournemouth respectively - while they are still expected to launch a bid for West Ham United's Mohammed Kudus.

GMS sources have been told that Diaz is firmly in Al-Nassr's sights as they are determined to convince Cristiano Ronaldo to agree a contract extension by showing ambition and completing quickfire deals despite not being in line to travel to the United States to compete in the Club World Cup.
The Saudi Pro League big-spenders are in danger of their talisman leaving as a free agent, thanks to his agreement being due to expire at the end of the month, and influential figures behind the scenes feel that raiding Liverpool could aid their push to persuade him to sign on the dotted line.
Al-Nassr may turn their attentions towards Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho if Diaz opts against joining after Barcelona have also been showing interest and he has not clarified whether he wants to stay in Europe, GMS sources understand, while Feyenoord defender David Hancko is also high in their thinking.
