Three former Pittsburgh Steelers earned All-UFL honors following the conclusion of the league’s regular season. Wide receivers Deon Cain and Tyler Vaughns, along with punter Brad Wing made it to the All-UFL team.
Cain played in nine games and made 29 receptions for 514 yards and six touchdowns. He became the staple and lead point of the Birmingham Stallions’ passing attack.
This is far from strange territory for Cain, who has played at a high level in the UFL for years with the Stallions. Cain is now a kick returner, too, adding to his versatility.
Cain spent time in the 2025 season with the Buffalo Bills and Carolina Panthers, but the Bills released him in December. Since that time, he has not found another team or practice squad to join on even a reserve/future contract.
A sixth-round pick out of Clemson in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts, his journey in the NFL started there. However, he lasted just one full season in Indianapolis before the Steelers plucked him up in 2019 amid multiple injuries to their wide receiver room. Cain made some standout plays in the run with Mason Rudolph and Duck Hodges at quarterback.
Vaughns, meanwhile, had a solid year in the UFL, too. He made 41 receptions for 475 yards and four touchdowns this season with the Arlington Renegades.
Vaughns was with the Steelers and became the star of the 2022 preseason as his connection with Kenny Pickett grew. Yet, after being cut, he failed to find a new team. Instead, he joined the Renegades, making seven starts and racking up 302 yards in those games, leading the team.
Wing was third in the league in yards per punt, but impressed with his ability to pin opponents deep inside their own 20-yard line. That control on his punts earned him those honors. He last played with the Steelers in 2023.
