‘Go For Garnacho’,‘The Team Needs Him’: Chelsea Fans React As Blues Make£25m Decision On Man United Star

Chelsea fans have been reacting to the news that the club aren’t going to pay the £25m obligation to buy Jadon Sancho from Man United.

Sancho was on a loan deal at Stamford Bridge, with a £25m obligation to buy because Chelsea finished above 14th in the league.

However, there was a £5m clause in the deal to send Sancho back to United, something that Chelsea have opted to do after they couldn’t agree on contract terms with the English winger to stay at Stamford Bridge.

Sancho made 42 appearances for Enzo Maresca’s side, scoring five goals and providing 10 assists. He helped them to a Champions League spot and the Europa Conference League trophy.

Could Chelsea sign Garnacho instead?

The Blues have been linked to signing fellow Man United winger Alejandro Garnacho, who looks set to leave the club this summer after falling out of favour with Ruben Amorim.

However, in recent days, Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens has emerged as Chelsea’s number one target winger, and they are reportedly in talks with the German side over signing the English winger.

Gittens, 20, made 32 Bundesliga appearances for Dortmund this season, scoring eight goals and providing three assists. He has also been linked to joining Premier League rivals Arsenal.
