Jesse Derry’s representatives have arrived in Germany to hold talks with a Champions League club over a potential move from Crystal Palace, sources have told Football Insider.
His contract with Crystal Palace expires at the end of June and there would be minimal compensation due if he moves abroad.
Derry, 17, was recently called up to England’s Under-19s squad for the summer’s European Championships.
Football Insider revealed last month that Celtic and Rangers both joined the race for Derry, and are on high alert for his availability.
The 17-year-old had already rejected the offer of a professional contract at Selhurst Park, and now has interest from Germany as he assesses his options.

Predominantly featuring on the right wing, but also comfortable on the opposite flank, Derry’s standout performances have attracted significant attention.
Football Insider revealed back in February that Bayern Munich, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, and Atletico Madrid have all scouted Derry and are considering a potential summer swoop.
Losing Derry would be another major blow for Crystal Palace, who are determined to avoid parting ways with another academy gem following the recent exits of Samuel Lusale and Reggie Watson.
He has already made his debut for England’s Under-19s, earning his first cap in November 2024, but whether he remains in England beyond this summer remains to be seen.

While the potential loss of young academy talents is a concern for Palace, they also risk a significant departure from their first team with Marc Guehi’s future in doubt.
Football Insider revealed that Guehi has already turned down an approach from Tottenham in favour of a possible switch to Liverpool.
The Palace captain is entering the final year of his contract, making this summer the club’s best chance to secure a substantial fee.
Newcastle remain in the mix after seeing four bids rejected last summer, but it now remains to be seen whether Liverpool return with a serious offer.
