Chiefs’ Travis Kelce Looking to Protect Impressive Streak in 2025

The Kansas City Chiefs and star tight end Travis Kelce are ready to get the 2025 season underway. After losing in the Super Bowl and being denied a three-peat in 2024, there is only one goal for the upcoming campaign, which is to win another ring.

Kelce might be heading into the final season of his NFL career. He was surrounded by retirement rumors at the beginning of the offseason, but could not walk away after losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in the big game.

In 2025, Kelce will also be looking to extend an impressive personal streak that he has been on.

As shared by Dominic Minchella of Kansas City Chiefs on SI, Kelce has made the Pro Bowl consistently since the 2015 season. He will have to work hard to continue that streak in 2025.

"One of the more impressive stats that Kelce has collected throughout his career comes in the form of Pro Bowl selections," he wrote. "Since 2015, the Chiefs' veteran tight end has been a Pro Bowler, but if the trend of decreased production continues, his 10-year reign at cracking the Pro Bowl could come to an end."

Last season, Kelce showed major regression from a statistical standpoint. He played in 16 regular season games, catching 97 passes for 823 yards and three touchdowns. Those aren't the typical numbers that Kelce has put up.

Throughout his NFL career, all 11 years with Chiefs, Kelce has been dominant. He will go down as one of the best tight ends in league history.

In the 174 career games he has played, Kelce has totaled 1,004 receptions for 12,151 yards and 77 touchdowns. He will look to add another good year to his legacy and resume.

Making a Pro Bowl for 10 straight years is a massive accomplishment. Being able to round out his career, if the 2025 season is his last year, with an 11th would be a great way to go out on top.

At 35 years old, there is a chance that Kelce could return for the 2026 season as well. That will be a topic of conversation throughout the 2025 season.

Only time will tell, but fans will be watching Kelce as if this will be his last year. Should he choose to hang up his cleats next offseason, he will have put together a career that will never be forgotten.
