Eagles Legend Trashes Jalen Hurts Ranking

Since he became a starter in 2021, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has always been difficult to rank amongst his peers.

He doesn't have the arm talent that a Josh Allen or Joe Burrow have. He isn't as fast as Lamar Jackson. He isn't as gifted a passer as Patrick Mahomes. What he does do, though, is win.

Only two other quarterbacks have won more games since 2021 when Hurts took over. He also happens to be 4-1 in the regular season against the previously mentioned signal-callers.

A Super Bowl MVP award giving in February has helped enhance Hurts' legacy in the league, but only slightly. Philadelphia's star quarterback came in fifth on Pro Football Focus' rankings for the position in 2025.

And Eagles legend Brandon Graham spoke on 94.1 WIP to explain just how wrong PFF is.

"Well, I think about how they are always trying to talk about the Eagles and having us as the underdog," Graham said. "So, it don't surprise me that we still the underdogs even though we won last year. He's slayed all of those quarterbacks. But, we going to keep it quiet. Keep it cute and classy.

"When he's done, hopefully they're giving him his flowers because I don't expect them to this season."

No one knows how to judge Hurts as a passer. That has been true when he became the starter in 2021, and is very clear even with a Super Bowl ring on his resume. Graham is one of the few that seemingly have the quarterback's back, though.

The more Hurts wins with the Eagles, the more people will eventually come to their side of the matter.
