Antony is on his way back to Old Trafford after an impressive resurgence with Real Betis, helping them with their successful LaLiga and Conference League campaigns.

The Brazilian winger spent half the season with the club where he scored nine goals and got five assists in 26 games.

His contributions served as vital to helping Betis finish in 6th in LaLiga, securing Europa League football and to the final of the UEFA Conference League, losing out to Chelsea.

Despite Real Betis wanting to retain the winger at all costs, his salary demands proved too much for the Spanish side to afford a permanent move.

Whilst conversations were had to extend his loan for another season, nothing has materialised as of yet.

However, Antony may not have to wait long to find a new club, as Italian giants Juventus are monitoring his situation.

Juventus make contact for Antony

Brazilian outlet UOL Esporte, as reported by Matthijs Pog, has reported that Juve are looking to Antony and have opened initial contacts with him over a summer move.

Whilst it’s not yet known how Antony feels about a move to Serie A, they aren’t his only option as Erik ten Hag is keen on a reunion.

The Dutchman is looking to bring Antony to Bayer Leverkusen as one of his first signings, despite the failed partnership at Old Trafford.

Given how things did go with the move to Old Trafford, and that ten Hag has limited pull over recruitment at Leverkusen, it’s unlikely that the Bundesliga side would go for a reunion.

However, with his impressive form at Betis, it certainly goes to show that it might just be an issue with Antony’s style of play not working in the Premier League.
