**West Ham are in the process of replacing our Head of Coaching & Player Development within the Academy, it’s been reported by ExWHUEmployee.**
Reporting exclusively on The West Ham Way Patreon, the club insider has revealed the news that Kalam Mooniaruck is leaving the post, having been at the club for over six years.
“We can exclusively reveal that Kalam Mooniaruck, the Head of Coaching and Player Development in the academy will leave their role to take up a position at the FA,” stated Ex.
“In October 2018, Mooniaruck joined West Ham as Head of Academy Coach Development, before being promoted to his current role in July 2024.
“As Head of Coaching and Player Development, his role includes promoting inclusive coaching practices and mentoring the Club’s Academy coaches and players, with the ultimate aim of supporting and enhancing their performances on the pitch, in training, in the classroom and in all aspects of their lives, inside and outside the Club.
“There are a number of coaches who are in the frame for the position but we believe there is no one more suited than our very own Mark Philips, who does an academy show every month for us on our ultra tier of Patreon.
“Phillips’s knowledge of coaching, experience at working with all different ages and passion for the club makes him a serious contender and we hope the club look no further.”
In other news, our insider has also revealed that the club will play a pre-season fixture behind-closed-doors this summer against Grasshopper Zurich, as well as Lille as previously reported.
