“A member of our staff spoke to her,” Buzbee said. “After review, we declined to take her case.”
When asked why his firm opted against representing Mills, Buzbee insinuated that an extensive case load factored into the decision.
“We can’t comment about the details or merits of her claims,” he added. “As you know we are contacted by numerous people across the United States daily with grievances. We can’t help them all. Some of those we do take are resolved quietly. A number are filed and litigated, like the $640 million jury verdict we achieved a few weeks back. Only a small few become public.”
Mills had previously threatened to leak intimate videos of their relationship following their break-up and is currently [exploring the option of legal action](https://brobible.com/sports/article/zion-williamson-ex-girlfriend-speaks-out/) against the 24-year-old.
“Everybody deserves a chance to be heard, and I hope me and any of the other victims… I just hope we all get justice,” she said in a post on social media.
Neither Williamson, his attorneys, nor the Pelicans have commented on the allegations. Williamson and New Orleans agreed to a five-year, $197 million contract prior to the 2022-23 NBA season, however, the last three years of the contract are non-guaranteed.
