Liverpool could face more interest from Saudi Arabia for Alisson Becker this summer, a year on from the goalkeeper rejecting the chance to move to the Middle East.
Alisson has been the subject of speculation over his future over the past 12 months, with the impending arrival of Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia leading to a major shake-up in the goalkeeping department of Anfield.
Caoimhin Kelleher has already left to sign for Brentford, leaving Mamardashvili to battle it out for the No.1 spot with Alisson - and it’s now being claimed that there could be more interest on the way for the Brazilian from the Saudi Pro League.
According to Spanish outlet Sport, Al-Hilal has set its sights on three goalkeepers this summer, including Alisson. Manchester City’s Ederson and Barcelona’s Marc-Andre ter Stegen are also said to be of interest.
Of the three, it does seem Ter Stegen is the leading candidate for a move to the Middle East, with Al-Hilal said to “want to fish in troubled waters” as they look to capitalize on the uncertainty surrounding the German’s future.
Barcelona looks set to sign Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia, with the 24-year-old potentially coming in to take the No.1 spot. Ter Stegen though is said to not want to leave the Camp Nou, which could lead Al-Hilal to look closer at one of their other targets.

The latest interest from the Saudi Arabia comes just a year after Alisson was linked with a move to Pro League, although the 32-year-old would reject any advances.
"Yes, there was interest," Alisson confirmed last August. "But I have a contract and I want to honour my contract, or make a new one.
“I am really happy here. My family is happy. I never got to the point where I was talking about wages. It was just interest.

“But when you hear about the numbers the other players are getting you are a little bit attracted. That’s normal.
"At the end of the day, you play football for love. It is the thing you like to do, but it is our profession and we want to use the years that we have to make the most of it.
“I think I am open to that personally - but not now. Now is not the time. I am really focused on the things we have here at Liverpool and while I still have my contract here, I will be focused here."
Alisson’s contract at Anfield runs until 2026, with the club holding the option of an extra year.
