Warriors’ Trade Target Gets Update After Recent Bulls Report

With the NBA offseason right around the corner with the NBA Finals beginning on Thursday, teams are preparing to make some crucial moves to upgrade their roster ahead of next season.

Among them are the Golden State Warriors, who are looking to upgrade their roster around their aging trio of Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green as they try to chase another championship next season.

Of course, the Warriors have been linked to many players heading into the offseason including Giannis Antetokounmpo and a pair of Chicago Bulls stars in Nikola Vucevic and Coby White.

On Tuesday, the Warriors received a major update regarding one of the Bulls’ stars.

“This is outside speculative, but two different East personnel figures believe that the Bulls are unlikely to retain both Josh Giddey and Coby White. If Giddey gets locked in, White could be moved. I’m skeptical of that idea because that sounds like a radical concept for the Bulls and that doesn’t sound like them. Saving money sounds like them, but not like this,” Hardwood Paroxysm reported.

This is a massive update for both the Bulls and the Warriors as it appears that Chicago is looking to make some moves this offseason, which could see them move on from either Giddey or White.

Of course, there have already been reports of the Bulls looking to trade Vucevic this summer, whom has been linked to the Warriors, and now another trade target for Golden State may also be on the move.

In a perfect world for the Warriors, they could look to make a move with the Bulls to land both Vucevic and White from them this summer, though it would drain them of their trade assets.

Despite this, adding just one of Chicago’s trade pieces could go a long way, especially in White who would also become a key part of Golden State’s future due to his age.

While that may be the case, the Bulls have held off on making trades in the past, look at how long it took them to move both DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine, but that may change this summer as they continue their rebuild.
