Manchester City have been chasing AC Milan’s Tijjani Reijnders for a number of weeks, with the transfer looking likelier with every day which has gone by.
When it became clear the Rossoneri were prepared to sell the midfielder and weren’t going to ask for crazy figures, then it simply looked a matter of time before Pep Guardiola would be able to count the Dutchman as one of his players.
AC Milan finished eighth in Serie A last season and as a result they won’t have European football in the coming campaign. That financial loss and a need for money to help a rebuild were further factors aiding Manchester City.
Tijjani Reijnders wanting the transfer to the Premier League club also helped.

According to the report, the club will be paying €65m to secure their signing and white smoke is very close.
Personal terms aren’t thought to be an issue.
