GIVEMESPORT understands that he has not extended the lease on his apartment - and he has given the go-ahead for his furniture to be placed in storage until such time as his future is decided.
That is the clearest indication yet that he feels his time is up on Merseyside.
But the former Porto man, signed three years ago in a £40m deal, might have a long wait before the outcome is sealed.
Barcelona have long been linked with a move for either Diaz or Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford.
However, the Catalan giants do not have excess cash swilling around the Nou Camp and because of that any deal is stalling.

With two years left to run on his contract, the situation isn’t critical for either club or player.
