Young forward becomes free agent after madrid exit

Big changes are coming to Real Madrid. Head coach Alberto Toril has departed, and several key players are expected to leave, including Olga Carmona, Caroline Møller, and possibly Melanie Leupolz. The club is already targeting new signings such as Sara Holmgaard, Sara Däbritz, and Merle Frohms. Now, another player has officially left: Carla Camacho.

Carla Camacho club career

Carla Camacho is a 20-year-old Spanish forward who began her football career with Orcasitas in 2010. After two years, she joined Atlético Madrid, where she spent eight seasons. Real Madrid signed Camacho in 2020, and she spent her first three years with the youth teams and Real Madrid B. In 2023, she made her first-team debut against Eibar, but was unable to make a lasting impression. She is now a free agent.

Club statement: “The club wants to express its affection and gratitude for having defended our shirt during these five seasons. Real Madrid wishes her and her whole family good luck in this new stage of her life.”

Møller and Leupolz

Caroline Møller has announced her departure from Real Madrid. The 26-year-old forward joined the club in 2021 and played some of her best football during her time there. Another possible departure is Melanie Leupolz, according to journalist Andrea Peláez Marzo. Ongoing knee problems may force the German midfielder to retire this summer.

Leupolz suffered an MCL injury in March during a match against Arsenal, shortly after returning from a similar injury to the same knee. Although surgery was not required in either case, she was ruled out for the rest of the season.

Olga Carmona to PSG

Olga Carmona – you might know her as the scorer of the winning goal that secured Spain’s World Cup title in 2023. She is the current Real Madrid captain and a key figure in their defense. However, Carmona decided that she will not renew her contract with the club and head for an adventure abroad. At least one club is interesting in signing her: Paris Saint-Germain [source: Andrea Peláez].
