Paul Pogba’s career has taken a sharp turn over the past two years, with injuries, legal troubles and suspension threatening to derail what once looked like a glittering trajectory.
After leaving Manchester United in 2022, Pogba returned to Juventus, the club where he made his name between 2012 and 2016.
But instead of a revival in Turin, the French midfielder endured a nightmare spell marred by persistent injuries and limited appearances.

Just as he aimed to reboot his second season, Pogba was hit with another setback.
On September 11, 2023, Italy’s anti-doping agency announced that the 2018 World Cup winner had tested positive for DHEA.
A banned substance, following Juventus’ opening game of the Serie A season against Udinese.
That revelation led to a four-year suspension, later shortened following an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, enabling him to return to the pitch in March 2025.

But even off the pitch, Pogba faced legal issues that further complicated his return to top-level football.
All of which have cooled the momentum of one of France’s most talented midfielders of his generation.
Following his reinstatement, Pogba has opted for patience.
He’s been linked with a variety of clubs across Europe and the United States, with rumours frequently outpacing confirmed interest.
Paul Pogba offered to join AS Monaco
And now, according to Santi Aouna of Footy Mercato, a fresh twist has emerged.
Paul Pogba has been offered to AS Monaco, as he looks for a fresh start and a return to form.
The Ligue 1 side, who are in the market for midfield reinforcements, are now weighing up whether to move forward with a player who, if fully fit, could drastically raise the ceiling of their squad.
Despite previous links to Olympique de Marseille, a move there now seems unlikely due to salary demands.

Thus, leaving Monaco as a more viable option within French football.
There was talk in April of the Frenchman returning to United.
However, that saga was very quickly squashed by David Ornstein.
At 32, the next chapter of Pogba’s career may be his last chance to remind the world of his once-elite level.
