Seahawks urged to trade young offensive starter at just the right time

Trade ideas are fun. They do well on the internet and are super fun to pull off in Madden. Your franchise _is_ just one Trey Hendrickson trade away from making a deep run, I agree.

Trade ideas are fun. They're just not always, you know, super realistic. But that's part of what makes them fun! The NFL spends 10 months out of the year churning out so much news worth covering, so these few precious weeks of the year when we get to pretend that all these crazy moves are definitely going to happen can be exhilarating.

Trade ideas are fun. Although, really, maybe I should say that trade ideas are fun when they don't involve one of the Seahawks' most exciting young players. Those trade ideas are whatever the opposite of fun is. The important thing to remember over the next 200ish words is that this is just a trade _idea_ – Seattle doesn't have to [actually move on from Kenneth Walker III](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25201198-1-player-each-nfl-team-should-consider-trading-2025-season) anytime soon, I promise. And you probably already knew that, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to hear one more time.

Bleacher Report thinks the Seahawks could move on from Kenneth Walker III this offseason

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"The 2024 season was a forgettable one for Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III. Walker missed a career-high six games (the third time in as many years that Walker missed time) and averaged a career-low 3.7 yards per carry ... Of course, Walker is also a contract-year back with a fairly extensive injury history playing on a team with a back in Zach Charbonnet who averaged half a yard more per carry last year than Walker. Walker may be the most talented back who could reasonably be available in a trade. Charbonnet has demonstrated the potential to be a lead back in the NFL. See where we’re going with this?"

No, Bleacher Report, I dont' see where you're going with this. Especially as the NFL rediscovers that, oh yeah, running backs are still important, I think it'd probably pay off to have a good one. Or even two! What a world that'd be. I think there's probably a scenario where Mike Macdonald could figure out a way to use both, but who knows? (Mike Macdonald knows. At least, I hope.)

Maybe trade ideas aren't as fun as I thought.
