Viktor Gyokeres has dropped a subtle hint about his future amid ongoing transfer links with Manchester United. Ruben Amorim's side are understood to be in the market for a striker this summer and a reunion with the Sporting striker has been touted since the minute the head coach arrived at Old Trafford.
The Swedish international has become one of Europe's top strikers in recent years, with an impressive record of 95 goals in 100 matches since his transfer from Coventry City to Liga Portugal in July 2023.
Sporting's leading scorer this season has made a significant impact in the Portuguese top-flight, netting 39 goals and providing eight assists in 33 appearances. The 26-year-old has been a pivotal player in Rui Borges' team, helping Sporting secure another league title.
Now, in recent video doing the rounds on TikTok, Gyokeres drops a hint about his next potential club speaking to team-mate Leo Ostigard on FaceTime.
Ostigard said: “Viktor, great talking to you. Text me when everything is signed & sorted at Arsenal…” The Swede then responded: “Yeah, yeah, sure!”
While some on social media have interpreted Gyokeres' words to mean he will let Ostigard know when he joins Arsenal, his response is likely to mean it was great talking to him rather than updating his friend on what comes next for him.
Gyokeres has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford since the appointment of former head coach Amorim at M16 in November. The Reds are in dire need of a consistent goal scorer this summer, having only netted 42 times in the Premier League.

However, The Manchester Evening News understands that United have set their sights on Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap as their main target to strengthen their attack this summer, rather than Gyokeres.
