could be set to have a rather busy summer transfer window, to say the least. After making just one new addition to their squad last year with the arrival of , this summer promises to see much more change in personnel.

as Liverpool's first signing of the summer. The right-back has arrived from Bayer Leverkusen after the Reds agreed to pay the £29.5million release clause in his contract.

Rumours and gossip over the last couple of weeks have been centred around the future of Florian Wirtz. Liverpool are interested in signing the Leverkusen playmaker, and are still in talks with the Bundesliga club after seeing a £109million bid rejected.

It's at left-back where Liverpool could see another new face arrive this summer. Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez has been heavily linked with signing for the Reds and is thought to be valued at around £45million.

This summer, though, the Cherries are seeing several of their key players linked with a summer exit, notably in defence.

Andoni Iraola's side have already seen Dean Huijsen leave the club to join Real Madrid, and now another centre-back is being linked with a move away from the Vitality Stadium.

Fabrizio Romano has reported on X, formerly known as Twitter, that Paris Saint-Germain have opened talks with Bournemouth to sign Illia Zabarnyi.

As a result, the Cherries now face the prospect of losing two of their first-choice centre-backs and that's before the potential exit of Kerkez is factored in.

It remains to be seen how far, if at all, Liverpool are prepared to try and sign Kerkez this summer. If Bournemouth do sanction the exit of Zabarnyi, it's not unreasonable to speculate that the Cherries may not want to let another of their star defenders leave the club in one summer.

If that was to happen, it may leave Liverpool with a decision to make regarding what to do at left-back going into next season.

Ajax star Jorrel Hato is another defender to be tentatively linked with the Reds this summer, with Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas the current left-back options at Anfield.
