Law & Order: SVU's Mariska Hargitay & Kelli Giddish Sit Courtside At Knicks Game Before…

Mariska Hargitay and Kelli Giddish recently sat courtside at Knicks games following the news that Giddish's character, Amanda Rollins, will be returning to Law & Order: SVUseason 27. Rollins' return was confirmed last month by NBC, and that she would be returning as a series regular. Giddish's exit from the series back in 2022 was a devastating blow to fans, and her return is one many have been waiting for, including Hargitay.

On May 30, NBC's Law & Order Instagram page shared a video that included a series of photos of Giddish and Hargitay sitting courtside at the Knicks basketball game on May 29 at Madison Square Garden. The caption reads, "In Benson and Brunson we trust." In the video, the actresses are clearly having "a ball" together, even holding a blinged-out basketball that has "New York Forever" written over it. Giddish also shared a few posts herself from the game, including one with her husband, Beau Richards.

What Hargitay & Giddish's Appearance At The Game Means For Season 27

They're Getting Ready For Their SVU Return Together

Giddish left her role as Rollins behind after Law & Order: SVU season 24 but made short appearances in seasons 25 and 26. Despite these small returns, it seemed Rollins' time on SVU was done for good. However, Hargitay was always an advocate for Giddish to return to the show. In fact, she was so excited when it was confirmed that Giddish would be returning as a series regular for SVU season 27.

Law & Order: SVU Season 27 Development Confirms That Chris Meloni's Elliot Stabler Isn't Its Biggest Character Exit

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit season 27 has a major development that proves there's an even bigger character exit than Elliot Stabler.

During her interview with Deadline last month, Hargitay couldn't stop gushing about how happy she was to have Giddish back on set next season. She went on about what a great actress Giddish is and how important she is to the SVU family. Hargitay and Giddish's public outing at the Knicks game further proves how close these costars were while filming SVU together. Now that Giddish is returning, fans should expect to see more outings of Hargitay and Giddish in New York.
