Dallas Cowboys fans can hardly wait for the team to take the field. Not only because the 2024 season was a major disappointment, but because George Pickens is expected to inject an explosive element into an offense that has sorely lacked in that department in recent years.
Only so much hype can be generated from OTAs, but Pickens has produced that in spades by showing off his body control and sheer catch radius.
Well, the buzz has ascended to a new level after Pickens debuted his new (official?) Cowboys jersey number at Tuesday's practice. The 24-year-old will seemingly wear the No. 3 this upcoming season. You can see Pickens' new threads behind this link.
Cowboys' WR George Pickens picks the No. 3 jersey for the 2025 season
Pickens' jersey number has actually been listed as No. 3 on Fantatics. That seemed to hint Pickens picked that number, but he had been wearing No. 13 in practice before Tuesday.
Furthermore, No. 3 currently belongs to defensive end Dante Fowler, who is back in Dallas after a one-year stint in Washington. It is possible Pickens and Fowler worked out a deal to allow Pickens to don the No. 3 jersey.

Fowler has rotated two jersey numbers in his nine years in the NFL: No. 56 and No. 6. He repped the former with the Cowboys in 2022 and '23. The No. 6 currently belongs to safety Donovan Wilson. Per the team website, center Cooper Beebe now wears No. 56.
Regardless, if Pickens is officially rocking No. 3, it is a perfect match. Not many receivers can rep single-digit numbers, but the former Georgia star carries a unique aura. The number was most recently worn by Brandin Cooks. We can't put our finger on it, but it simply looks better on Pickens.
Much has been made about which jersey Pickens would wear in Dallas. Now that it's (seemingly) settled, fans can mentally prepare for No. 3 and No. 88 to produce fireworks this season.
