Romeo Doubs will return stronger for the 2025 season. That’s what Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur suggests during the media day on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old wide receiver was not able to finish the 2024 season, specifically their last game against the eventual Super Bowl winners Philadelphia Eagles, after he was forced out by a concussion.
Before that, he had to miss three games for the same issue.
LaFleur thinks Dubs already recovered from the two scary injuries and is looking great already.
“He looks great out there,” LaFleur told reporters.

“I don’t know if you guys can tell a difference in his physique, he does look like a specimen out there. But he does a great job. He’s coming in, and he’s just worked. Obviously, he’s played a lot of snaps for us and has had a lot of production, so I’m excited for where he’s at.”
Doubs is one the final year of his rookie contract and this season means more than the past ones for him.
Romeo Doubs embracing leadership role
The battle for the main spots among wide receivers has gotten tighter for the Packers.
The team drafted Matthew Golden in the first round, Savion Williams in the third, and then signed undrafted free agent Sam Brown Jr.
His fellow WR Jayden Reed has been taking on the the mentor role for the young fellows and that’s what Doubs is doing, too. He said it is only natural to help the young players get acclimated to the team system.

“That’s just what we’re supposed to do, right?” he said.
“It would be wrong for me to gatekeep anything and teach them nothing.”
