Man United are keen to sell Marcus Rashford this summer but have not ruled out another loan spell sources have told Football Insider.

Club chiefs at Old Trafford would prefer to cash in on the 27-year-old, and have slapped a £40million price tag on the England international.

Ruben Amorim has made it clear that Rashford has no future at the club – and United will consider letting the forward leave on loan later in the window if a suitable cash offer does not materialise.

A temporary switch to Aston Villa for the second-half of last season saw the United academy product make a positive impact in the Midlands, scoring four goals and assisting six more.

Barcelona hold-up could lead to another loan deal

It is believed Rashford would prefer to hold out for a dream move to Barcelona this summer, but it is understood the La Liga champions need to sell before they can finance any deal for the Manchester-born star.

With the main transfer window not set to close for over 12 weeks, United believe they have time to wait for the right deal to come along.

However, a lack of permanent offers would see them forced to send Rashford out on loan once again for the 2025-26 season – with the forward one of the highest earners at Old Trafford.

The player’s desire to leave Old Trafford matches United’s need to get him off their books, with Rashford enlisting super agent Pini Zahavi to help facilitate a move to Barcelona.

His big wages could complicate Barcelona’s pursuit of a deal, but the Spanish champions have begun to lay the groundwork.

‘Man United make big Bryan Mbeumo statement’

Meanwhile, Man United fans have urged the club to complete the signing of Bryan Mbeumo following a major update on his future.

Despite interest from Newcastle, Arsenal and Tottenham, the Brentford attacker is said to “favour” a move to Old Trafford, with United emerging as his top choice.

The 25-year-old has just one year left on his current contract, and Football Insider revealed that Brentford are under growing pressure to resolve Mbeumo’s future.
