Man United could be handed golden Jadon Sancho escape route following Bruno Fernandes decision

Manchester United find themselves once again needing to find a new club for Jadon Sancho this summer.

Ineos must have thought they had seen the last of Jadon Sancho when a loan deal with Chelsea was struck last summer.

A £25m obligatory buy clause in Sancho’s deal suggested that he would make a permanent move to Stamford Bridge this summer, but the Blues opted out.

Instead, Sancho will return to United at the end of the month after Chelsea decided to pay a £5 million penalty fee to back out of the obligatory deal.

Saudi interest in Jadon Sancho offers Man United exit route

United fans don’t want Sancho back, and nor will Ruben Amorim so Ineos have a job on their hands to offload the 25-year-old this summer.

Bayer Leverkusen showed interest in Sancho but with Erik ten Hag now in charge of the German outfit, a deal for the English winger can be well and truly ruled out.

If a new buyer cannot be found, Ineos might consider terminating Sancho’s deal but it would come at a huge price.

Via Ben Jacobs on United View TV, there is interest in Sancho building from the Saudi Pro League.

Sancho’s £325,000 per week wages proved to be a stumbling block in negotiations with Chelsea, but Saudi clubs have proved that they are willing to hand out big-money contracts.

Bruno Fernandes rejection could help Ineos offload Jadon Sancho

United have already been in contact with Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal this summer over a potential deal for club captain Bruno Fernandes.

Al-Hilal were willing to pay £100m for Fernandes, and a huge £200m contract was prepared for the Portuguese midfielder.

However, Fernandes has decided to stay at United and reject the Saudi proposal, meaning Al-Hilal will have to look elsewhere for a star player for the upcoming Club World Cup tournament.

Reports suggest Al-Hilal are now targeting Ederson as a summer signing, but they could yet make a move for Sancho.

Given that Sancho was available for £25 million to Chelsea, it seems that is the asking price that Ineos will demand this summer.
