Leeds United are back to the drawing board after missing out on Caoimhin Kelleher, with the Ireland international completing a move to Brentford from Liverpool.
It emerged over the weekend that Leeds would miss out on Kelleher, with Brentford agreeing an £18m deal for Liverpool’s no.2. Kelleher has since explained why he chose to join Thomas Frank’s Brentford.
Leeds then, are forced to target other goalkeepers. Shortly after the news Kelleher was off to Brentford, Leeds were linked with Nick Pope again while Sam Johnstone is said to be keen on a move to Leeds.
LeedsUnited.News understands The Whites want Gabriel Brazao from Santos, while Aaron Ramsdale is also expected to be on the move this summer having suffered relegation again, with Southampton.

Graham Potter’s side are keen on a goalkeeper with Lukasz Fabianski one of four players leaving West Ham on a free transfer – alongside Leeds targets Vladimir Coufal and veteran left-back Aaron Cresswell.

The Ramsdale clause that will help Leeds and West Ham
It has been reported that Ramsdale has a relegation release clause which will prevent any attempts that Southampton try to make in keeping the goalkeeper. Leeds and West Ham can easily get a deal done.

West Ham are clearly keen to land Ramsdale while Leeds’ focus looks to be on a deal for Pope, with the Southampton man’s relegations perhaps playing on Adam Underwood’s mind when it comes to a deal.
That’s three relegations from the Premier League for Ramsdale now and perhaps, given Leeds are likely to be in a dogfight, signing a player who has been relegated so often might not actually help The Whites.
