West Ham could make a swoop for Jack Grealish after a failed spell at Manchester City.

The England international kicked off his spell at the Etihad with a Premier League title, before winning the treble in his second campaign.

It is fair to say that things have gone downhill for the 29-year-old since then, with a summer departure from the Citizens now looking likely.

If Pep Guardiola opts to move him in, Graham Potter and Co. step in and attempt to sign Grealish in the hopes of reviving his career in E20.

Potter could transform Grealish at West Ham

In his Aston Villa days, the attacking midfielder was virtually unstoppable with the ball at his feet and became a threat in front of goal, while also providing a number of assists.

That hasn’t truly been on show at City as the tactical approach of the ex-Barcelona boss has taken the element of spontaneity from his game.

This saw the Englishman, who has 190 Premier League appearances, net just one top-flight goal this season, culminating in him being an unused substitute in the FA Cup final defeat against Crystal Palace.

This could allow the Hammers to swoop in and sign Grealish, who could decide to leave the Etihad this summer.

Former Brentford and Leicester City manager Martin Allen believes his exit from the Sky Blues is imminent, suggesting that Potter could get the best out of him in East London.

Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, Allen said: “Maybe Potter could get the best out of Grealish on that left-hand side.

“It may be something that he would thrive on after dropping in performance levels since leaving Aston Villa.

“He’s certainly not as mobile as he was, and maybe with Man City playing a different style, he’s struggled. Maybe it [a move to West Ham] would be something Jack would be interested in.

“The fact that he didn’t come on as a substitute in the FA Cup final tells a story that Pep Guardiola isn’t happy, it’s a massive custard pie to Grealish.

“*That was the end of him at Manchester City, it clearly is.*“

Grealish could transform West Ham

Everyone knows just how sensational the attacker was in his days with Aston Villa, and that could be replicated at the London Stadium.

If given the chance to link up with someone like Jarrod Bowen, there is every chance that he could become the catalyst for a positive season in E20.

This could prove to make complete sense for all parties, especially if Lucas Paqueta does leave the Hammers, but it will be interesting to see if it is possible.
