The life of a footballer, eh? All just seems like one holiday after the next, aside from the football side of things. Well, it actually is, particularly at this time of year.
And why not? If I had the money they do, I’d be doing exactly the same. One break to the next.
Newcastle United Carabao Cup hero Fabian Schar is definitely on the same page. Fresh from taking in the sights and sounds of Balearic party island, Ibiza - even if he did so a lot more respectfully and classily than many, including this writer - Schar, with Newcastle United WAG Alexandra Munger, is now sunning it up in the Greek capital, Athens.
And it’s fair to say he’s taking his good looks seriously!
His partner Munger posted a sneaky video of the Swiss central defender getting a haircut, on the balcony of their accommodation, as can be viewed above. If you’re going to look that good all the time, we get it, Fab.
And, in another set of photos Schar can be seen with the finished product - and it’s fair to say, he’s gone for a strong, unique look. Gone is the 5pm stubble and in with the clean shave, moustache and under chin beard look. It’s a new one, but we’re sure the 33-year-old, who penned a new United deal recently, can carry off virtually any look. We’re not jealous at all!

Who is Fabian Schar’s girlfriend, Alexandra Munger?
Alexandra Munger is the girlfriend of Switzerland and Newcastle United defender Schar. And as mentioned in the above piece, she has recently relocated to Tyneside to live with the Carabao Cup hero, who she has been in a relationship with since before he joined the Magpies. Schar joined United in the summer of 2018, coming in on a cut-price deal from Deportivo La Coruna.
Munger, like Schar, is an academic, being a Master of Law, while also currently studying for a PhD from the University of Zurich.
