Leeds United are yet to dip their toe into the summer transfer market but that doesn't mean talks and plans aren't underway ahead of their return to the Premier League.
Daniel Farke's side won promotion as Championship champions ending their two-year stint away from the top flight and all eyes are on a huge summer rebuild.
None of the last six teams to have won promotion out of the Championship have been able to survive more than one season in the Premier League and the Whites are hoping to buck that trend.
With that in mind, Leeds Live has taken a look at some of the latest Leeds United transfer news, rumours and verdicts...
Leeds United 'eye £18.5m release clause'
SER reporter Jose David Palacio claims that Getafe winger Christantus Uche is set to leave the club this summer, amid transfer interest from Leeds United and Brentford.
Farke will be looking for attacking reinforcements with Manor Solomon's loan now up, and Uche offers an interesting alternative. The 22-year-old is said to have a €22m (£18.5m) release clause.
LeedsLive says: "It's no surprise to see the Whites linked with reinforcements in wide areas of the pitch given Solomon's departure. Uche managed to score four goals and notch six assissts for Getafe in La Liga last season."
Leeds United summer spending verdict given
Leeds United have been tipped to spend between £100-£150million this summer in an attempt to stay in the Premier League after promotion last season - blowing their fellow newly promoted sides out of the water.
"I think it could be very difficult for Sunderland this time around," Borson told Football Insider. "I think you’re going to have a situation where they obviously try and survive clearly, but probably do that kind of Southampton and Norwich, that type of almost planned strategic yo-yoing for a couple of seasons. That’s what is likely.
"I doubt they’re going to go for a Nottingham Forest let’s go and spend £200million and just gamble, and probably breach PSR. I doubt they’re going to do that.
"Look, it worked for Nottingham Forest, but it’s a very bold move and it nearly didn’t work actually. But those are really the two strategies if you’re Sunderland.
"They are not in the same position as Leeds. Leeds have already done quite a lot of yo-yoing. They are financially just a bigger club than Sunderland right now, so Leeds have got more flexibility and a better starting point in terms of the quality of the squad.
"If they spend another £100-150million on top of what they’ve got, they give themselves a much better chance of staying up, and there is much less risk of it going wrong from a PSR and relegation perspective. But Sunderland I think are just going to have to be a bit more cautious than that.
"They are just going to have to accept the likelihood of relegation, bank as much money as they can from being in the Premier League, as much money as they can from the parachute payments and try and get back up again."
LeedsLive says: "It's been well documented that Leeds will have a big budget this summer in an attempt to stave off relegation, but spending hundreds of millions doesn't guarantee you survival. A glance back to Fulham in 2018-19 saw the Cottagers spend £100million, but be relegated after just one year in the top flight. Leeds need to spend wisely this summer."
