Rasmus Hojlund is a subject of strong interest from Inter Milan. However, the Danish forward does not want to leave Man Utd this summer. He has opened dialogue between the Serie A giants. But, sources close to him revealed he wants to stay at Old Trafford. He wants to show his quality under new manager Ruben Amorim.

Rasmus had a tough first season at the club after his £72 million move from Atalanta in 2023. Although, he bagged 16 goals across all competitions, fans expected more consistent form. With Anthony Martial injured most of the season, the Dane was brought into the spotlight as the main striker. That is something that may have come a bit too early in his development. Late in the season, his form dipped heavily, sparking transfer rumours across Europe.

Man Utd Focused on Rebuilding Despite European Setback

The Red Devils haven’t ruled out selling any player this summer if the right offer comes in. They have missed out on UCL football after losing the Europa League final to Tottenham. That has impacted the club’s transfer strength.

However, Utd are still moving quickly in the market. They recently agreed to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5 million. They are also pushing hard to land Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo for a reported £50 million.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan are desperate for new firepower after their heavy 5-0 loss to PSG in the Champions League final. Hojlund is one of two forwards they’re targeting, alongside Parma’s Ange-Yoan Bonny.

Still, unless Utd receive a massive offer, Hojlund is expected to stay. He will be fighting for a stronger second season.
