‘It’s true’ – Wolves keen on player who missed out on Brighton move

Wolverhampton Wanderers could bring Clement Bischoff to the Premier League after his move to Brighton & Hove Albion collapsed earlier this year.

Back in February, Brighton had reportedly reached an agreement with Brøndby IF for the left-back to arrive at The Amex this summer. The operation collapsed at the last minute due to a disagreement between Bischoff and Brighton.

The 19-year-old was upset that his dream move to Brighton had collapsed. He can still move to England this summer as Wolves have emerged as a new contender.

On Tuesday, claims from the UK stated Vítor Pereira’s side are keeping a close eye on the fullback. Tipsbladet relay that and state ‘it’s true’ that Wolves are showing keen interest in the youngster.

They report it makes ‘perfect sense’ for Wolves to show interest in Bischoff, who was close to joining Brighton.

Manchester City are working on signing Wolves’ Rayan Aït-Nouri and he could be on his way to the Etihad. The English club would have to look for the Algerian’s successor and this is where Bischoff comes into the picture.

Wolves, for now, haven’t tabled a bid for the Denmark U21 international. Tipsbladet state they should have ‘enough money to make an offer’ for Bischoff from Aït-Nouri’s impending sale.

The teenager has over a year left on his contract and Brøndby could sell him this summer.

Tipsbladet point out they had agreed a DKK 75m [€10m] deal with Brighton. A fee around this region may be enough for Wolves to secure his services and it shouldn’t be an issue for them.
