Joan Garcia has reportedly agreed to join Barcelona in the summer transfer window and will move on when the Catalans activate his €25 million release clause.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Garcia gave the green light to Barca’s proposal at a final meeting last night at a restaurant after discussing the transfer with his family.
Barca will now draw up contracts before paying his release clause and completing the transfer.
MD report Garcia’s agents have asked for “maximum guarantees” regarding his registration after seeing the problems enountered with Dani Olmo and Pau Victor last season.
Fabrizio Romano is also confident the deal is done, pending an official announcement.
Joan García and Barça, matter of short time to complete the deal as it’s all set between the goalkeeper and the club.

Garcia will sign a five-year deal and will hope he can be first choice next season under Hansi Flick after making the move across the city.
He will have to battle Marc-Andre ter Stegen for a place in the starting XI, but you get the feeling he hasn’t decided to swap Espanyol for Barcelona just to sit on the bench.
