Man Utd are in talks to add the Brentford forward to their squad in the summer transfer window.
Manchester United hope to add Bryan Mbeumo to their squad in the summer transfer window as they look to improve their forward options. The 25-year-old is set to leave Brentford this summer and has indicated he would prefer to join United over any other side that has shown interest in him.
Arsenal, Newcastle and Tottenham have also expressed an interest in his signature, but Mbeumo is understood to see a clear role for him at Old Trafford and would relish the challenge to bring glory back to the club. United have already reached an agreement to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves and are in talks to add the Brentford ace as well.
It is a huge boost for Ruben Amorim as he looks to add Premier League experience to his squad in an effort to improve the overall fitness and athleticism of his side, though it will come at a price.

Bryan Mbeumo makes 'important' demand
Brentford are understood to value Bryan Mbeumo at a similar price to the £62.5 million release clause Manchester United will pay for Matheus Cunha. It means a bid in the region of £60 million is expected to secure his signature, though United will also aim to pay the fee in instalments rather than one lump fee.
Another key aspect will be his wage demands. The 25-year-old earns roughly £50,000-a-week at Brentford and it has been reported he will demand a wage in the region of £250,000-a-week should he move to Old Trafford. That could be an issue for United in a summer when they are looking to lower their wages, though there is confidence a compromise can be reached with a player who wants to join the club.
It is totally normal for a player to demand higher wages if they move to a bigger club and transfer guru Fabrizio Romano does not believe it will be a significant hurdle in their pursuit. Writing in his latest GIVEMESPORT newsletter, he said: "For sure he wants an important salary but nothing different compared to other players, like Cunha and more. It's normal. When you go to this sort of clubs, you always request an important salary."
United have already made a significant wage saving due to the fact Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans will all depart as free agents at the end of the month. The club also plan to reduce the wage bill by offloading high-earners Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho this summer, while they remain open to any serious offers for Casemiro.
