Bruno Fernandes received a spine-tingling reaction from one Manchester United star after the Red Devils captain made his feelings clear on the transfer interest from Al Hilal.
The 30-year-old Portugal midfielder’s future at Old Trafford has been uncertain in recent weeks after Al Hilal stepped up their pursuit of Bruno Fernandes.
Al Hilal were keen to bring Fernandes to the Saudi Pro League and the Saudi Arabia-based side wanted to sign him ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
It is believed that the Saudi Pro League outfit could have offered United a transfer fee between £80m and £100m to sign Fernandes this summer.
However, Fernandes has rejected a move to Al Hilal and he has expressed his desire to stay as part of the United first-team squad under manager Ruben Amorim.
The United captain has been a linchpin figure for Ruben Amorim and has continued to be the Red Devils’ most influential player on the pitch during his stunning spell.

Al Hilal reportedly offered Bruno Fernandes a lucrative package to leave Old Trafford and for the Manchester United star to complete a move to Saudi Arabia.
Fernandes inked a new contract with United last summer and the Portugal international’s current deal with the Premier League club expires in 2027.
The Portugal midfielder impressed for United in the 2024-25 campaign and Fernandes netted 19 times and picked up 19 assists in 57 matches for the club.
Fernandes has been an influential player, both on the pitch and off it, for United and the Portugal star has often been the standout performer for the Red Devils.
The United skipper, who has been at Old Trafford since 2020, is widely seen as the best Red Devils signing in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era of the Premier League club.
Joshua Zirkzee took to Instagram Stories and reacted to Fernandes’ decision of turning down Al Hilal and remaining at the Red Devils this summer.
The 24-year-old United striker shared a photo of himself celebrating with Fernandes from a match and Zirkzee simply added the message ‘mood’ alongside his photo.

What did Man Utd captain Bruno Fernandes have to say about rejecting Al Hilal’s transfer approach?
Fernandes is away on international duty with Portugal and the Red Devils captain insisted that he is not ready to leave Old Trafford after turning down Al Hilal.
Speaking at Portugal’s pre-match press conference on Wednesday, he said (via BBC Sport): “Manchester United said they didn’t want to sell me.
“They said if I wanted to go I could, but they didn’t need the money. I spoke to coach Ruben Amorim who, throughout that period, he was pushing for me not to go.”
Fernandes added: “I want to play at the highest possible level.
“I want to play major competitions. I know I still can and I want to be happy doing the thing I love the most.
“For better or worse, this is how I see football and I’m passionate about football and this is the decision I’ve made.”
Portugal are in action on Wednesday evening and Roberto Martinez’s men will face Germany in Munich for their Nations League semi-final clash at the Allianz Arena.
