Exclusive: Winner named in Everton and Inter Milan race to sign £20m Brazilian winger

Everton are looking to do quick business this summer transfer window.

David Moyes and his recruitment team have been drawing up a list of targets over the last few months and are already reaching out to a number of them just days into the window.

James McAtee is on Everton’s radar and is expected to leave Manchester City after being left out of the Club World Cup squad.

The Toffees are also exploring a deal to sign Villarreal striker Theirno Barry, who enjoyed a prolific season in La Liga last term.

Yves Bissouma has emerged as a potential Moyes target over the last 48 hours and has Sunderland’s Trai Hume.

Winner named in Everton, Newcastle United and Inter Milan race to sign Luiz Henrique

Everton News understands that Marseille’s star Luiz Henrique shunned interest from England ahead of agreeing a deal with Inter Milan.

The 23-year-old Brazilian – who can play on either flank – has agreed terms on a move to the Champions League finalists and is set to move for just over £20million.

We can confirm that Everton, Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest and Manchester United all asked about Henrique in recent weeks and were keen on exploring a deal.

United had him on their list to potentially fill their right wing-back role in the Ruben Amorim system, whilst the others saw him more as a pure wide player.

We are told Henrique was ‘intrigued’ with the prospect of a move to England, but he was quick to accept Inter once they made their move.

Everton appear more focused on Liverpool’s Ben Doak

Everton are in talks to sign Liverpool’s Ben Doak, with Moyes seemingly impressed by his loan spell at Middlesbrough last season.

The 19-year-old wide player enjoyed a productive campaign on Teesside up until he suffered a hamstring injury at the start of the year.

The Reds have slapped a £30m price tag on Doak, which, considering his lofty potential, may tempt the Toffees.

Moyes has made it no secret that he wants the club to start shopping in the Championship more regularly, as he believes it’s home to a number of future Premier League stars.
