Wolves boss Vitor Pereira seemingly doesn’t rate Doyle, leaving the midfielder in limbo heading into the window.
The former Man City man will no doubt be in search of minutes ahead of next season and could push through an exit from Molineux.
Sunderland have been linked with Doyle, and that move could potentially have big benefits for both parties this summer.

Tommy Doyle could be used in Trai Hume deal
Doyle’s potential Wearside move could earn Fosun in the region of £3 million, but more importantly, it may allow Wolves to land one of their top targets.
That is because Wolves are reportedly targeting Trai Hume this summer, with the Black Cats defender said to be high on Pereira’s radar.
Hume would be a smart signing for Wolves, and Doyle perhaps could be used as a makeweight in any potential deal.
Sunderland will no doubt be keen to keep their star right-back, but may be tempted to part ways, with a potential cash plus Doyle offer perhaps.

Doyle is no doubt a talented player, but it seems like it’s best for both club and player to part ways this summer.
The City graduate clearly isn’t fancied at Molineux anymore, with Pereira concerned by Doyle’s limitations, particularly his lack of physicality in midfield.
